About fuutsuu
fuutsuu is a brand named after the Japanese word (普通 / ふつう), or futsuu, meaning “ordinary” or “normal”. fuutsuu the brand is a Japanese play on words by utilizing gap - moe (ギャップ萌え). Gap - moe is the cuteness found in the contradiction of something’s appearance versus its actual content. fuutsuu features wildly cute art and designs whilst under the name fuutsuu, or “ordinary”!
Inspired by 90’s Japanese anime and early 2000’s heisei retro (平成レトロ) kawaii culture, fuutsuu aims to create charmingly cute and gekikawa (激かわ) apparel and designs!
